2 Days Tour to Enjoy the Elephant Safari Paradise
LOCATION
OVERVIEW
Touring Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks provide two excellent destinations from the Northern Circuit. Much like people, each of these parks offers up its distinct characteristics! It’s worth mentioning that the name Tarangire is derived from two Swahili words: Tara (meaning river) and Ngiri (which means Warthog). The presence of so many Warthogs in this area led locals to refer to it as Ngiri-Tara – or simply -Tarangire.
Besides being home to an abundance of Elephants, other iconic creatures can also be seen here: lions who love to climb trees, flamingos looking pinker than ever before thanks to all that sodium bicarbonate (or baking soda) in the lake! And while both Parks share similar qualities, they still maintain essential differences which make them stand out, which is why there will be some variation in our upcoming journey through these beautiful safari spots.

ITINERARY
The day will start with a well-prepared breakfast that you will take before you begin the journey, after the breakfast. You will get picked up by the 4×4 safari car by the safari guide prepared by the company. From there, you will start your journey to the Tarangire National Park.
It will be around 2 hrs. Drive within a 120 km distance, where you will reach the Tarangire National Park entrance. Firstly, we must ensure all the regularities are at the gate before starting the game drive in the Tarangire National Park.
Drive wants to see a massive herd of elephants, making the park popular and its nickname the elephant paradise, during the game. You will also be able to explore the baboon trees, which are very old and big in size and shape.
You can take your lunch at one of the picnic sites in the park from there. You will continue with the game drive, where from here, after your lunch, you will see other animals, such as warthogs, baboons, lions, leopard cheetahs, giraffes, and other animals and birds.
After this long journey, the driver will take you to Mto WA Mbu near lake Manyara where you will be overnight with a great view and breeze of lake Manyara.
