The best time to watch the game drive at Selous Game Reserve is during the dry season which is from June to October, as the wildlife gathers near waterholes and rivers due to the less vegetation.
Elephants are Lions are quite easy to spot as they come out of the bush. The dry season lowers chances of catching malaria as there are few mosquitoes during the dry season. The wet season is considered from October to May which makes the wildlife viewing really hard; however, this season attracts birders as there are a lot of migrating birds that can be spotted in the wet season.
